Hi, Welcome to my blog. I am a recipe blogger. The primary motivation to blog has been the need to document good fuss free recipes. It has been my endeavor is to eat food that is fresh, seasonal and easy to prepare on a busy day / work night with mostly locally available produce.
I have been writing on food and life experiences on this blog for over 10 years. It has changed the way I look at food and life in general. Needless to say, I love cooking. It is my way of unwinding and even after a hard day’s work, I find calm in the kitchen. To watch people enjoy something made in your kitchen is a joy that is unlike anything else.
I am a Psychology Graduate with a post graduate degree in International Business. I used to be a Behavioural Trainer. Seven years ago, I quit that to follow my passion and now own the first of its kind in culinary studio where I do Cooking and Baking classes. If you would like to learn to cook or bake from me, please click Escapades Culinary Studio for the class schedule. I also do customised Indian Cooking classes and sessions for corporates.
My other full time occupation is being a dog slave to my now 9 year old Golden retriever Sage.
I write content on food, recipes, lifestyle and travel for various newspapers and publishers regularly. I also grow most of the vegetables we eat, and aspire to be a full time artificial chemical free organic farmer someday soon. I live in Hyderabad.

About the Blog
Escapades is my journey at recreating a food experience that has lingered with me. Either a beloved childhood taste, something from my travels or curiosity over a cuisine or an ingredient. I began blogging to explore easy home style cooking and baking. This is reflected in the array of recipes you will find on the blog. You will find Palakkad Iyer recipes, Andhra Cuisine and dishes from across the world in equal measure.
While I like trying new things and creating a delicate balance between ingredients, quick, fuss free cooking is the style that appeals to me the best. I am always trying to find ways to reduce stress that cooking up a meal on a weekday brings. Any recipe that involves labour intensive multiple steps is woefully avoided.
I do not do restaurant and product reviews.
I am the shopper, cook, prop stylist and photographer for all the content on this blog (unless mentioned otherwise). All content on this blog is original unless mentioned and recipe inspiration and references are clearly mentioned.
I’d love to hear from you.
